Born into a family of doctors and advertising folk, I always knew I wanted to do something more creatively focussed- so it was either going to be a plastic surgeon or run the Coca-Cola account for an Ad agency. I chose the latter and did a bachelor of Commerce to kick things off. A bit of a wobble half way through my degree almost saw me switch to graphic design, but my parents held fast and made me see it through. After graduating I was drawn into the crazy dot.com explosion, and worked for the leading online consumer portal in South Africa, iAfrica.com for 2 years before the advertising industry started . From 2000, I worked my way up at Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson and a small start up Agency “Stick” in South Africa, before moving to Singapore in 2008, where I joined Euro RSCG and finally Ogilvy & Mather as a Regional Business Director until 2011. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to both work and live with some amazing creative minds who have inspired and shaped my journey. And they’re the reason I love what I do. Having joined The Talent Business, I now get to work more closely with many more such minds, every day.
