"As far back as I can remember I’ve always wanted to be in digital"- Well, not quite but it’s fair to say everything’s digital now isn’t it! Anyway, I’ve had a natural curiosity for all internet-related marketing & technology since going online in 1995 via CompuServe dial-up. I’ve had a pretty entrepreneurial career to date. Following early stints in international advertising roles, I set up an international media consultancy called Universal Media and quickly grew the business to 35 people within a couple of years. Sensing a digital revolution after successfully creating a global interactive network for Universal Media and having a passion for people, I co-founded mediaCentrix, a digital recruitment business in 1999. We worked across the agency, advertising and marketing landscape identifying and securing senior level digital talent. I rapidly built the business to become the leading digital boutique executive level recruitment firm in the UK. In late 2007 we were flattered to be approached by a number of larger & broader recruitment businesses for M&A discussions with a view to up-weighting their digital credentials. After merging mediaCentrix with The Talent Business in 2008, I joined the global management team at TTB & now head up “digital” here. Digital at TTB isn’t a separate team or department; it’s fully integrated with specialist digital Talent Strategists across all our global practices. My role is the strategic leadership for digital innovation: so working with the C-Suite Agency and Network executives to identify and secure leadership talent (and sometimes acquisitions) with a digital flavour plus engage with senior talent to advise career progression. Outside the day job, I enjoy cycling & tennis and when time permits attempt to play golf. I have a passion for technology and gadgets although most enjoyment comes from food, wine, family and friends.
