Stolkin

Global Chairman & CEO

Much has changed in the creative communications landscape since I started my headhunting business in 1993, but the need to attract and retain transformational leaders and senior talent has never been so integral to delivering sustainable commercial success. The Talent Business now has hubs in London, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Shanghai, Dubai and Sao Paulo, and has established itself as the world leader in executive search for creative businesses. We provide leaders and emerging stars to all of the major marketing communications groups and networks, as well as most of the independent operations. We also partner a number of creatively driven client-side organisations. As Global CEO, I have first-hand experience of identifying and securing transformational leaders – globally and in the key markets around the world. I also work with agency groups on their acquisition strategies, and advise brand owners on the selection of agency partners.

Managing Partner & Global Head of Creative Talent

With my background as a dancer, I spent most of my time choreographing and directing in the theatre whilst studying at university in the UK and the States. I built my career initially in advertising as an account man at Lowe Howard-Spink, a Partner at HHCL and finally as part of the London management team at RKCR Y&R. I joined The Talent Business as the London Managing Director in 2007 and have since helped to build our unparalleled global creative offering - working closely with the creative teams across all our key offices. The Talent Business now has hubs in London, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Shanghai, Dubai and Sao Paulo, and has established itself as the world leader in executive search for creative businesses. I have a real passion for brilliant ideas and have been lucky enough in my career to have worked with some of the best creatives in the industry on famous, award-winning campaigns for brands like Stella Artois, Pot Noodle and M&S. An avid collector of contemporary art, I love being around talented, imaginative people and their work. I am also passionate about helping great creatives to become great leaders through my work as an NCP accredited Executive Coach.

Managing Partner & Global Head of Marketing and Media Talent

As a graduate, I joined the London office of a large network advertising agency at the time, DMB&B, as an account handler on Procter & Gamble, Mars and Coca Cola internationally. Then at Leo Burnett London, I ran Fiat and the UK Government’s Department for Transport account, winning the flagship Drink Drive and Teenage Road Safety business, for which we were privileged enough to win globally acknowledged creative awards. I was promoted to Leo Burnett's Management Board, taking the role of Head of Account Management, running a 75-strong department where my remit included the acquisition and retention of top talent. To further help me fulfil my appreciation of supporting real talent, I have also been responsible for chairing and mentoring a number of the UK’s Institute for Practitioners of Advertising (IPA) training programmes and events. I joined The Talent Business as a Partner in 2007 as Global Head of Talent Search before becoming European Managing Director. In 2011, I launched TTB’s European “client side” marketing executive search practice, driven by the sector agnostic proposition of innovation leadership for sustainable commercial impact. The Talent Business now has hubs in London, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Shanghai, Dubai and Sao Paulo, and has established itself as the world leader in executive search for creative businesses. In growing this practice globally, working with A list global brand owners across every imaginable marketing leadership assignment, I now spend time balancing global business with family time with my husband and two children in London.

Wardlaw

Managing Partner & Global Head of Innovation Talent

Having completed a Law degree, I took a junior role in a publishing business whilst deciding on the career direction I wanted to take. It was a unique time, when the first wave of digital businesses were starting to establish themselves, causing immediate and significant changes across entire industries and generating a need for innovative talent, which has never dissipated. I was approached to join what was the first specialist, digital recruitment business and found myself helping to structure and staff the nascent UK teams of the likes of Amazon, Microsoft, AOL, eBay, as well as the first digital creative and communications agencies. Nurturing, advising and helping to choreograph talent, both within and for the creative sector has been part of my career ever since. In that time, I’ve built and lead cross-functional talent acquisition teams, lead staffing and talent strategy for leading digital/creative agencies - most recently AKQA. I also ran my own consultancy business, focused on helping clients to digitise structure, talent and output. The key to the sustained success of so many companies is the alignment of transformational talent with business and growth strategy - and I continue to find it a pleasure and privilege to advise and partner with stand-out people and great businesses in order to help both realise their ambitions. The Talent Business now has hubs in London, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Shanghai, Dubai and Sao Paulo, and has established itself as the world leader in executive search for creative businesses so is perfectly placed for me to do this. My other passions are sports - particularly skiing/squash/running, watching Arsenal and being a dad.

Ward

Managing Partner & Head of Client Service Talent

Having spent 16 years in the advertising industry, always with a keen interest to nurture and develop effective people and build strong teams, I joined The Talent Business to focus on just that and to find the best talent for agencies. I spent my former years at Publicis as a Group Account Director on the likes of McVities, Allied Bakeries, Muller and Coca Cola, then moved to be Business Development Director, and subsequently Managing Director, of the boutique comms consultancy Banc. The last 5 years of my agency career were spent as Managing Director of Farm, running the agency and heading up Nestle business. I have an avid interest in anything at all related to sport and constantly exercise my negotiation skills at home with my two children Finn and Edie.

Fraser

Managing Partner & Head of Creative Talent

My advertising career began firstly on the graduate scheme at Euro RSCG London before moving on to McCann Erickson. With a passion for people and a deep rooted love of great creative work, I was lured by The Talent Business in 2007 with the initial remit to uncover the very best progressive, creative talent globally. I now also run London's fantastic, unparalleled, creative practice. As agencies and brand owners recognise just how critical creativity and innovation are to achieving commercial success, it has never been a better time to marry Clients with the type of game changing talent that we know. Beyond The Talent Business I have far too many loves and sadly far too little time, especially since the arrival of my daughter last year. They range from design, food (and wine), running, the sun and beach destinations. And all fuelled, especially these days, with a great cup of coffee.

Gottschalk

Partner - Head of Innovation Talent

I joined the advertising industry as a graduate, serving my time in the Bates UK post-room before cutting my teeth on fast-paced retail and media-owner clients. After four years in a network agency, I felt it was time to try something different and moved to creative boutique St. Luke's where I led the Strongbow and British Telecom business. Another four years later, having enjoyed the small agency feel but eager to work in a digital led environment, I went to Albion to oversee the eBay business. After 12 years in client services, I joined The Talent Business as a way of bringing together my passion for people and business - enabling the best talent in our industry to fulfil its potential whilst also growing our client’s business and helping them achieve commercial and creative success. Away from work (and alongside fatherhood) I have two big passions in life: music and skiing, which means that I spend a lot of time either playing the piano, or living vicariously through snow-cams across the 3 Valleys.
